Aaron Rodgers pinpoints Jets big hurdle: 'It’s us against us'
Rodgers stubs toe; questionable for Saturday's game against Jets
Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a toe injury that could keep him out of Saturday’s game against the New York Jets. The Green Bay Packers quarterback suffered the injury during the team’s 34-31 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Rodgers told reporters after the game that he stubbed his toe on a chair in the locker room, but he does not believe it will be a serious injury. He said he will likely miss the Packers’ practice on Wednesday, but he expects to play on Saturday.
If Rodgers is unable to play, the Packers will start backup quarterback Jordan Love. Love has not started a game in the NFL, but he did play in four games last season, completing 59.7% of his passes for 411 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The Jets are coming off a 24-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Jets have lost their last two games and are now 1-4 on the season.
Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between the Packers and Jets since 2018. The Packers have won the last two meetings between the two teams.
