Rams will face Tarleton State in the quarterfinals at home on Saturday

The NCAA Division II Football Committee has released the bracket for the 2022 NCAA Division II Football Championship, and the Angelo State Rams have earned a top four seed in Super Region Four.

The Rams, who finished the regular season with a 9-2 record, will host Tarleton State University in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.

Angelo State is making its 10th appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Championship and its first since 2019. The Rams have a 7-9 record in the NCAA Division II Football Championship, including a 2-2 record in the quarterfinals.

Tarleton State is making its fifth appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Championship and its first since 2019. The Texans have a 3-4 record in the NCAA Division II Football Championship, including a 0-1 record in the quarterfinals.

The winner of the Angelo State-Tarleton State game will advance to the semifinals of Super Region Four to face the winner of the game between No. 1 seed Colorado School of Mines and No. 8 seed Fort Lewis College.

The semifinals of Super Region Four will be played on Saturday, Nov. 26, at the home field of the higher seed. The winner of the Super Region Four championship game will advance to the NCAA Division II Football Championship semifinals on Saturday, Dec. 3.
