Bengals Tee Higgins feeling healthy after nagging ankle injury

Higgins has missed five games this season dealing with an ankle injury

Higgins missed the first four games of the 2022 regular season with a high-ankle sprain he suffered during training camp. He returned to play in Week 5, but aggravated the injury in the second half of the team's Week 6 loss to the Saints.

Higgins has been limited in practice since aggravating his ankle

He aggravated the injury again in Week 8 against the Browns, and was forced to miss the team's Week 9 loss to the Panthers. He returned to play in Week 10 against the Steelers, but was clearly not 100 percent.

Higgins aggravated the injury yet again in Week 11 against the Titans, and was held out of practice for the following two weeks. He returned to practice on a limited basis last week, and was able to play a full week of practice this week.

Higgins says he expects to play Sunday against the Chiefs

Higgins said he is feeling healthy, and expects to play on Sunday against the Chiefs.

"I've been feeling good all week," Higgins said. "I've been getting a lot of treatment, and I'm just trying to get my ankle back to 100 percent. I'm expecting to play on Sunday, and I'm excited to get back out there with my teammates."

Higgins is a key part of the Bengals' offense, and his return to full health would be a big boost for the team.
