Browns' Michael Hall: Placed on IR with knee injury
Cleveland Browns defensive end Michael Hall has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, the team announced Tuesday.
Hall, 24, suffered the injury in the Browns' 29-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. He had two tackles in the game before leaving in the first half.
The Browns have not announced how long Hall is expected to be out, but it is likely that he will miss the rest of the season. His placement on IR means that he will be ineligible to play in any of the Browns' remaining games.
Hall is a second-year player who was drafted by the Browns in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played in all 17 games for the Browns last season, starting three.
The Browns are now without two of their top three defensive ends, as Myles Garrett is also on IR with a shoulder injury. Jadeveon Clowney is the only healthy starting defensive end on the Browns' roster.
The Browns will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in a crucial AFC North matchup. The Bengals are 4-3 this season and are currently in first place in the division.
