The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of carrots produced by Grimmway Farms due to a potential E. coli contamination. The recall affects carrots sold in 1-pound, 2-pound, and 3-pound bags under the brand names Grimmway Farms, Bunny Luv, and Cal-Organic. The carrots were distributed to retailers nationwide.
Consumers who have purchased these carrots are urged to discard them immediately and not consume them. Symptoms of E. coli infection can include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever. In severe cases, E. coli infection can lead to kidney failure and even death.
