Chandrababu Naidu In Delhi To Invite PM For World's Largest Green Hydrogen Plant In Andhra
In a bid to attract investment and promote green energy, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is in Delhi to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone for the world's largest green hydrogen plant in the state.
Naidu, who is also the founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), met with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal on Thursday to discuss the progress of the project.
The proposed green hydrogen plant will be set up in the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area in Nellore district, with an investment of around Rs 3,000 crore.
The plant is expected to produce 100,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, which will be used to power vehicles and industries in the state.
Green hydrogen is produced by splitting water using renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power.
It is considered a clean fuel that does not produce any emissions.
The Andhra Pradesh government has been promoting green energy and has set a target of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2022.
The state has already commissioned several solar and wind power projects.
The proposed green hydrogen plant is expected to further boost the state's renewable energy portfolio.
If successful, the project will be a major step towards India's goal of becoming a global leader in green energy.
The government has set a target of producing 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030.
Green hydrogen is seen as a key fuel for the future, as it can be used to power vehicles, industries, and even homes.
It is also a clean fuel that does not produce any emissions.
The Andhra Pradesh government's decision to invest in a green hydrogen plant is a positive step towards promoting renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions.
The project is expected to create jobs and boost the state's economy.
It will also help India achieve its goal of becoming a global leader in green energy.
