Chargers Receiver Ladd McConkey Injures Shoulder vs Bengals, Returns to SNF Game

McConkey Injured in 3rd Quarter

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter of the team's Sunday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. McConkey was injured while attempting to make a catch over the middle of the field. He immediately grabbed his shoulder and went to the ground.

McConkey was attended to by team trainers on the field and was eventually helped to the locker room. He did not return to the game.

McConkey Returns to Game

Despite the injury, McConkey was able to return to the game in the fourth quarter. He caught a pass for 11 yards on the Chargers' first drive of the fourth quarter.

McConkey's return to the game was a positive sign for the Chargers. The team was already without wide receiver Keenan Allen, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. McConkey's ability to stay on the field helped the Chargers offense continue to move the ball.

Chargers Defeat Bengals

The Chargers went on to defeat the Bengals 24-21. The win was the Chargers' sixth of the season. It also kept the Chargers in the hunt for a playoff spot.

McConkey's injury is not expected to be serious. He is expected to be able to play in the Chargers' next game.
