CM for integrating agriculture with entrepreneurship
State seeks to boost food production, create jobs
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the state government will soon come up with a comprehensive plan for integrating agriculture with entrepreneurship.
He was speaking at a meeting of the State Agricultural Marketing Board (SAMB).
Sawant said that the plan will focus on providing farmers with the skills and knowledge they need to start their own businesses.
The plan will also include:
- Providing farmers with access to capital and other resources.
- Establishing new markets for agricultural products.
- Promoting value-added products and services.
The chief minister said that the plan is part of the government's overall strategy to boost food production and create jobs.
He said that the government is committed to supporting farmers and helping them to achieve their full potential.
"We want to make Goa a hub for agricultural entrepreneurship," Sawant said.
"This plan will help us to achieve that goal."
