Detroit Lions Gearing Up for Upcoming Season
Injured Tight End Sidelined as Team Prepares for Training Camp
Remaining Players Participating in Offseason Workouts
The Detroit Lions are preparing for the upcoming season with the majority of their roster participating in offseason workouts.
However, tight end T.J. Hockenson remains sidelined with an ankle injury. Hockenson is expected to miss the start of training camp but is expected to return at some point during the preseason.
The Lions are counting on Hockenson to be a key contributor in their offense this season. He is one of the team's most reliable pass catchers and is also a solid blocker.
In Hockenson's absence, the Lions will look to other tight ends such as Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra to step up.
The Lions are scheduled to open training camp on July 27. They will open the regular season on September 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
