Donovan Mitchell ruled out of Sunday's game against Hornets
Mitchell suffers hamstring injury in loss to Heat
All-Star guard expected to miss multiple games
Donovan Mitchell will miss Sunday's game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a hamstring injury, the Utah Jazz announced Saturday.
Mitchell suffered the injury in Friday's loss to the Miami Heat. He left the game in the third quarter and did not return.
An MRI on Saturday confirmed the injury, and Mitchell is now expected to miss multiple games.
The Jazz are already without Mike Conley (knee) and Rudy Gobert (calf), so Mitchell's absence is a major blow to their playoff hopes.
Mitchell is averaging 26.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this season.
The Jazz are currently in seventh place in the Western Conference with a 41-28 record.
