EDISON - Bryson Wittmer ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries as Edison rolled past Colonel Crawford, 49-28, in a Division V, Region 18 playoff opener Friday night at Bob Bishop Stadium.

The Chargers (9-1) will host Van Wert Lincolnview (9-1) next Friday in a regional semifinal.

Edison's offense shines

Michael Lalonde completed 10 of 13 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 93 yards and two scores on 13 carries. Blake Simon caught five passes for 93 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown reception.

Drew Cole added 68 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Edison, which outgained Colonel Crawford 407-206 in total yards.

Colonel Crawford's effort

Ethan Holt led Colonel Crawford (6-4) with 95 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Quarterback Gavin Feichtner completed 5 of 10 passes for 71 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 30 yards and a score on 11 carries.

The Eagles were hurt by four turnovers, including three interceptions.
