Everton's Brian Sørensen: 'My kid has a scouse accent now so it's perfect'
Toffees keeper reveals his son’s Merseyside transformation after five years in the city
The Denmark international has settled on Merseyside and his son now has a scouse accent as a result
Everton goalkeeper Brian Sørensen has revealed that his son now has a scouse accent after five years of living in the city.
The Denmark international joined the Toffees from AGF in 2018 and has since become a firm fan favourite at Goodison Park.
Sørensen's son, who was born in Denmark, has also settled well in Merseyside and has even started to pick up the local accent.
"He's got a proper scouse accent now," Sørensen told the Liverpool Echo.
"It's so funny to hear him speaking like that. He's only five years old, but he sounds like he's from Liverpool."
Sørensen admits that he is very happy with his life in Merseyside and is grateful for the support he has received from the fans.
"I love it here," he said.
"The people are so friendly and welcoming, and the fans are amazing. I'm so lucky to be playing for Everton."
Sørensen is not the only Everton player to have been charmed by the city of Liverpool.
Former Toffees defender Lucas Digne also spoke about his love for the city after leaving the club in 2021.
"I have a lot of good memories of Liverpool," Digne said.
"It's a great city with a lot of history and culture. I'm always happy to go back there."
