India A Resists India's Bowling Attack
On day three of the practice match between India and India A, the bowlers continued to dominate the batsmen as both teams ended the day with a draw.
India A, who resumed their innings at 211 for 4, managed to add just 50 runs to their overnight score before being bowled out for 261.
Shubman Gill was the top scorer for India A with 77, while Hanuma Vihari made 56.
KL Rahul Shines For India
In reply, India lost Mayank Agarwal early but KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara steadied the innings with a partnership of 85 runs.
Rahul went on to score an unbeaten 67, while Pujara made 40.
India finished the day on 142 for 2, trailing by 119 runs.
India Set For Perth Test
The practice match ended in a draw, but it provided India with some valuable match practice ahead of the first Test against Australia in Perth.
The match also gave KL Rahul a chance to impress the selectors and stake his claim for a spot in the Test team.
Rahul has been in good form in recent months and his performance in the practice match will have boosted his chances of playing in the Test series.
