Injury Report: Bengals, Rams Hit Hard by Injuries Ahead of Divisional Round Clash
Bengals' Burrow, Chase Questionable for Saturday's Game
The Cincinnati Bengals are dealing with a number of key injuries heading into their Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. Quarterback Joe Burrow is questionable with a sprained MCL, and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is also questionable with a hip injury.
Burrow suffered the MCL sprain in the Bengals' Wild Card win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He was able to finish the game, but his mobility was clearly limited. Chase left the game in the first quarter with a hip injury and did not return.
The Bengals are also dealing with injuries to several other key players, including running back Joe Mixon (ankle), wide receiver Tee Higgins (ankle), and cornerback Eli Apple (concussion).
Rams' Stafford, Kupp Also Battling Injuries
The Rams are also dealing with a number of injuries, including quarterback Matthew Stafford (ankle) and wide receiver Cooper Kupp (knee).
Stafford suffered a sprained ankle in the Rams' Wild Card win over the Arizona Cardinals. He was able to finish the game, but his mobility was also limited. Kupp suffered a knee injury in the Rams' Week 17 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He was able to play in the Wild Card game, but he was clearly not at 100%.
The Rams are also dealing with injuries to several other key players, including running back Cam Akers (ankle), tight end Tyler Higbee (knee), and cornerback Jalen Ramsey (ankle).
Outlook for Saturday's Game
The injuries to Burrow, Chase, Stafford, and Kupp could have a major impact on Saturday's game. If either quarterback is unable to play, it would be a major blow to their team's chances of winning.
The Bengals are also dealing with injuries to several key defenders, including cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) and safety Jessie Bates (concussion). The Rams are dealing with injuries to several key offensive linemen, including left tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) and right guard Austin Corbett (ankle).
The Bengals and Rams are both coming off of impressive Wild Card wins, but the injuries to key players could make Saturday's game a much closer contest.
