France play Italy in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday, September 21st - and Les Bleus are seeking revenge having lost to the Azzurri in the Euro 2020 final during the summer. The 2018 World Cup winners were beaten 2-1 by Italy on penalties in July after a 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium in the summer.

France boss Didier Deschamps is set to name his squad for the UEFA Nations League games against Austria and Denmark on Thursday - and a number of players are pushing for a recall to the squad.

Deschamps is expected to name a strong squad for the games, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Paul Pogba all in contention to start. However, there are a number of players who will be hoping to impress the manager and earn a recall to the team.

One player who will be hoping to feature is Anthony Martial. The Manchester United forward has been in impressive form for his club this season, scoring three goals in his last four Premier League games. He will be hoping to continue his good form for France and stake a claim for a place in the squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
