The Miami Dolphins defeated the Arizona Cardinals 24-15 on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Dolphins, who came into the game as 5.5-point underdogs, improved to 2-0 on the season. The Cardinals fell to 1-1.

Tua Tagovailoa completed 22 of 34 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 35 yards, including a 17-yard scamper in the fourth quarter that helped seal the victory.

Jaylen Waddle caught six passes for 112 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

The Dolphins' defense forced four turnovers, including two interceptions by cornerback Xavien Howard.

The Cardinals were led by quarterback Kyler Murray, who completed 22 of 32 passes for 261 yards. He also ran for 38 yards, but was sacked six times.

DeAndre Hopkins caught eight passes for 91 yards for the Cardinals.

The Dolphins took an early lead and never trailed. They scored on their first possession of the game, driving 75 yards in 12 plays and taking a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Chase Edmonds.

The Cardinals answered with a field goal, but the Dolphins extended their lead to 14-3 on a 42-yard touchdown pass from Tagovailoa to Waddle.

The Cardinals closed the gap to 14-9 on a 1-yard touchdown run by Eno Benjamin, but the Dolphins responded with a field goal to take a 17-9 lead into halftime.

The Dolphins added to their lead in the third quarter with a 2-yard touchdown run by Edmonds.

The Cardinals scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard pass from Murray to Zach Ertz, but the Dolphins defense held on for the win.

The Dolphins will return home to face the Buffalo Bills next Sunday. The Cardinals will travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders.
