Nets' Trendon Watford Removed From Injury Report, Set to Make Season Debut
Long-awaited return
The Brooklyn Nets have received a boost ahead of their upcoming game, as forward Trendon Watford has been removed from the injury report and is set to make his season debut. Watford, who missed the first 15 games of the season with a hip injury, has been practicing with the team for the past week and has been cleared to play.
The 21-year-old was a key part of the Nets' rotation last season, averaging 6.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 79 games. He is expected to provide a much-needed boost to the Nets' frontcourt, which has been shorthanded due to injuries to Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons.
Nets look to build on recent success
The Nets have won three of their last four games and are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The return of Watford will give them another option in the frontcourt and should help them improve their rebounding and defense.
The Nets will be back in action on Thursday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets. Watford is expected to make his season debut in that game.
