At 400 AM AST (0800 UTC), the center of the remnants of Sara was located near latitude 18.9 North, longitude 71.9 West. The remnants are moving toward the northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days. On the forecast track, the remnants will move near or over Hispaniola tonight, and move near or over the southeastern Bahamas on Monday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
