River Hawks Men's Basketball
The UMass Lowell River Hawks men's basketball team is a member of the America East Conference in NCAA Division I. The team is led by head coach Pat Duquette, who is in his 15th season at the helm. The River Hawks have won the America East Tournament twice, in 2013 and 2017, and have appeared in the NCAA Tournament three times. The River Hawks are coming off a 16-16 season in 2022-23, and are looking to make a run at the America East title this season.
The River Hawks have a number of talented players returning this season, including senior guard Everette Hammond. Hammond led the team in scoring last season with 15.6 points per game. Washington Huskies Football
The Washington Huskies football team is a member of the Pac-12 Conference in NCAA Division I. The team is led by head coach Kalen DeBoer, who is in his first season at the helm. The Huskies are coming off a 4-8 season in 2022, and are looking to improve under DeBoer's leadership. The Huskies have a number of talented players returning this season, including senior quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Penix Jr. led the Pac-12 in passing yards last season with 4,641 yards. He also threw for 33 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Huskies also have a number of talented running backs returning, including senior Cameron Davis. Davis rushed for 1,005 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. The Huskies also have a number of talented receivers returning, including senior Jalen McMillan. McMillan led the team in receiving yards last season with 1,086 yards.
