Blazers Win Fourth Straight
Anfernee Simons Leads the Way
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 114-110 on Wednesday night at the Moda Center for their fourth straight victory.
Anfernee Simons led the Blazers with 23 points and 7 assists and Damian Lillard dropped 22 points. Jusuf Nurkic added another 20 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
The Hawks were led by Trae Young, who had 25 points. Dejounte Murray contributed 22 points.
The Blazers started the game strong and led 44-27 after the first quarter. However, the Hawks came back in the second quarter and cut the lead to 60-55 at halftime.
The Hawks continued to chip away at the lead in the third quarter and took their first lead of the game at 82-81. However, the Blazers responded and took a 91-88 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Blazers held on to their lead and closed out the game with an 114-110 victory.
The Blazers (23-25) will next play the Houston Rockets on Saturday night at the Toyota Center.
