Browns-Saints Week 11 injury wrap-up: Cleveland with two surprise mid-week injury notes
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are relativamente healthy heading into their Week 11 matchup with the New Orleans Saints. They did, however, have two players pop up on the injury report on Wednesday.
Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (foot) and cornerback Denzel Ward (concussion) were both limited in practice. Owusu-Koramoah has been dealing with a foot injury for several weeks, but he has not missed a game. Ward suffered a concussion in the Browns' Week 10 win over the Buffalo Bills.
The Browns are hopeful that both players will be able to play on Sunday. However, if either player is unable to go, the Browns have capable backups in place. Jacob Phillips can step in at linebacker for Owusu-Koramoah, and Greedy Williams can start at cornerback for Ward.
In addition to Owusu-Koramoah and Ward, the Browns also have a few other players who are dealing with minor injuries. Safety John Johnson III (shoulder) and defensive end Myles Garrett (shoulder) were both full participants in practice on Wednesday.
The Browns are expected to release their final injury report on Friday.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints are also relatively healthy heading into their Week 11 matchup with the Browns. They did, however, have one player pop up on the injury report on Wednesday.
Tight end Adam Trautman (ankle) was limited in practice. Trautman has been dealing with an ankle injury for several weeks, but he has not missed a game.
The Saints are hopeful that Trautman will be able to play on Sunday. However, if he is unable to go, the Saints have capable backups in place. Juwan Johnson and Nick Vannett can both step in at tight end for Trautman.
In addition to Trautman, the Saints also have a few other players who are dealing with minor injuries. Quarterback Jameis Winston (back) and wide receiver Michael Thomas (foot) were both full participants in practice on Wednesday.
The Saints are expected to release their final injury report on Friday.
Overall, both the Browns and Saints are relatively healthy heading into their Week 11 matchup. There are a few players who are dealing with minor injuries, but both teams are expected to have most of their key players available on Sunday.
