The Mavericks eventually emerged victorious with a score of 121-119, snapping the Thunder's three-game winning streak. The game was close throughout, with neither team able to build a significant lead. The Mavericks took a four-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the Thunder quickly tied it up. The teams traded baskets for much of the fourth quarter, and it wasn't until the final minutes that the Mavericks were able to pull away.With just over a minute remaining, Luka Dončić hit a three-pointer to give the Mavericks a five-point lead. The Thunder responded with a layup, but Dončić followed with another three to put the Mavericks back up by six. The Thunder had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer in the final seconds, but the shot was off the mark, and the Mavericks held on for the win.
Dončić led the Mavericks with 35 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Spencer Dinwiddie added 22 points, and Christian Wood chipped in with 18 points.
For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 33 points. Josh Giddey added 20 points, and Jalen Williams had 18 points.
The win was the Mavericks' third in a row, and it improved their record to 12-9. The Thunder fell to 10-11 with the loss.
