'We Will See Who Dares to Touch Us': Pawan Kalyan Fires Back at Owaisi's 15-Minute Remarks

Pawan Kalyan, the founder of the Jana Sena Party (JSP), has taken a stand against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi's comments about the Muslim community in India.

Owaisi, while addressing a rally in Hyderabad on August 21, 2023, had said that the Muslim community would not tolerate any injustice and would not hesitate to fight back if they were attacked. He stated, "We will see who dares to touch us."

Kalyan responded to Owaisi's comments at a public meeting in Visakhapatnam on August 22, 2023. He said that Owaisi's remarks were "provocative" and "irresponsible." Kalyan stated that such statements could create communal tension and harm the social harmony of Andhra Pradesh.

Kalyan further said that Owaisi was trying to "divide people" on religious lines. He appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to maintain peace and brotherhood. Kalyan emphasized that violence is never the solution to any problem and that issues should be resolved through dialogue and discussion.

Owaisi's comments have drawn criticism from several political leaders and organizations. The BJP has accused Owaisi of inciting communal violence, while the Congress has called his remarks "dangerous and irresponsible." The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded Owaisi's arrest for making "hate speeches."

The AIMIM has defended Owaisi's comments, saying that he was merely stating the sentiments of the Muslim community. The party has accused the BJP and other right-wing organizations of trying to suppress the voices of Muslims.

The controversy over Owaisi's remarks has highlighted the growing communal tensions in India. Many fear that such rhetoric could lead to further violence and polarization in the country.
